Privacy Policy — Daampatyam

Last updated: August 2026

Daampatyam ("the app", "we", "us") is a relationship-journaling app for couples. This page explains what data the app collects, how it's stored, and how you can control it.

The short version: your journal entries, photos, voice notes, and partner details are encrypted on your device with a passphrase only you know, before they're ever sent anywhere. We cannot read your content — not from our database, not on request, not ever.

1. Information we collect

If you use Guest Mode, nothing leaves your device — all data stays in local browser storage.

If you create an account, we collect:

2. What we can and cannot access

Your passphrase is never transmitted or stored anywhere — not even by us. This means:

3. How data is stored

Encrypted account data is stored using Supabase (a hosted database provider), protected by row-level security rules so each account can only ever access its own data.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties. We do not run ads in this app. The only third-party services involved are Supabase (data storage/authentication) and Google Fonts (for typography), neither of which receive your journal content.

5. Your controls

6. Children's privacy

Daampatyam is intended for adult couples and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

7. Changes to this policy
